Ritu was born and raised in Mumbai, India as a child in the epicentre of Bollywood – India’s Hindi language film industry. After years of practice and performance in singing, dancing and acting, Ritu trained at Queensland University of Technology in Law/Creative Industries specialising in film and documentary production in Brisbane, Australia. Admitted to practice at the Supreme Court of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia as a legal practitioner in 2019. Ritu’s law degree has proved as a masterclass in character and conflict as she began screenwriting and completed further post graduate education in film in Melbourne. Upon completion, Ritu was admitted into an audition-based 1 year actor’s intensive run by the The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) where she received her core actor’s training.
